Bryn Athyn Cathedral, Cairnwood Estate, and Glencairn Museum were designated National Historic Landmarks in October 2008. Together, these buildings comprise the Bryn Athyn Historic District and will be featured during “Landmarks in Lights: A Celebration of Faith” from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. The AGG conference participants are  invited to enjoy the venues’ expansive grounds all to the strains of recorded classical music.
Tour Glencairn’s first floor and watch a 15-minute orientation video, and a free cell phone audio tour; rides to the Tower fee TBD.
The Cathedral’s stunning stained glass windows will be lit, and there will be live a cappella and recorded classical music filling the air, with tour guides available to answer questions. The bookstore/gift shop will be open, and the award-winning gardens available for exploration.
Cairnwood Estate’s architectural details will be accented by lighting, and the newly restored Garden House will be open.  All 3 floors for the mansion, including access to the tower, will be open for self-guided tours.
Given the age and construction of the buildings, some areas are not  wheelchair accessible. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an  adult.  For more information and directions, visit www.brynathynhistoricdistrict.org or call 215-947-2004.
